Top left: I have 3D printed a shell mold, and filled it will plaster to produce the model.
Bottom left: I stuck it down to a smooth Arborite the batt using a sticky clay slip and have smoothed the model on the wheel (using a metal rib and sandpaper). Then I soaped it.
Bottom center: Glue the jigger head shell mold down using the same clay slip.
Bottom right: Fill that with plaster.
Top right: The mold is ready.
Top center: I attached a pouring spout and filled the mold with a red stoneware slip to produce this piece.
Top center: Notice how the plastic nursery pot fits: Its rim is still too far down to be able to grasp and remove it easily (and the top diameter of the clay pot is a little too much). 3D printing makes adjusting the the size easy.
