Zebra printers are the workhorse thermal printers, they are everywhere. They are also about get getting data onto labels. Often big labels. And printing if fast and clear. Every time you get an Amazon package the shipping label is made on one of these (or a copycat). They are also expensive, but used and refurbished ones are widely available online. In two key ways, no cutesy small printer run by a smartphone app is a match for these. First, price of labels: They cost a fraction of a cent per label (vs. 25 cents or more for competitors). Second, connectivity: These don't need an apt or even a driver. Connect by USB and send ZPL (Zebra Printer Language) label size and content data out the the USB and a label is printed. In this picture I asked at AI ChatBot to general ZPL to make a demo label, here is what it did.
The label we have always needed the most: Glaze jars and buckets. Wouldn't it be great if a button in your Insight-live.com account could print a big 4x4 or 4x6 inch label with the name, codenumber, description, full recipe and a QRCode to open its record in your account? We are working on that now.
