Results are good for this EBCT test (at cone 4, 6 and 7). And unexpected, I thought the bars would curl toward the blue. The pink Mason 6020 is very refractory. 10% was added and it should have cut maturity and therefore fired shrinkage. But it did not. The blue, Mason 6300, is a flux and was expected to increase firing shrinkage. But it did not. Although during drying the bars curled toward the pink (again, unexpected because it should have reducEd drying shrinkage). But during firing they pulled back straighter. So, although the match is not perfect, it is very good.
