AVPS - Average Particle Size (Microns) Test

Particle size analysis falls into two categories: Ultimate and physical. Physical particles are those we can measure using ordinary sieves. Ultimate particles, in the micron range, require the use of specialized devices.

Variables

VAL - Value (V)

The size in microns of the average particle of a powder sample

Glossary Ultimate Particles
Utlimate particles of ceramic materials are finer than can be measured even on a 325 mesh screen. These particles are the key players in the physical presence of the material.
Typecodes Particle Tests
Tests conducted to determine particle populations, sizes, shapes, densities, surface areas, etc.
