BDGC - Bulk Density g/cc (Packed) Test
ASTM-357
The measurement is done on the powdered material after settling. See ASTM C-29
Apparatus:
1. Glass graduated cylinder 50 ml
2. Thin piece of rubber sheet
Procedure:
Place rubber sheet on the table. Weigh the clean dry glass cylinder. Add the powder in small amounts and tap the cylinder on the rubber sheet for each to pack it (do not press on it). Repeat until the level is at 50 ml. Weigh the cylinder again.
Formula :
B = Weight of glass cylinder and sample
A = Weight of empty glass cylinder
Bulk Density (Kg/Liter or g/cc) = (B-C)/50
