Notes

A high purity montmorillonite refined to meet the thixotropic needs of water-based systems where high viscosity is required without the demand for whiteness (it has a much higher iron content that the other bentonlite products). Mineral Colloid® BP provides suspension stability and viscosity control. It is targetted at the Home Care and Personal Care markets.

Was made by Southern Clay products but discontinued by new owners.

Clays that are not kaolins, ball clays or bentonites. For example, stoneware clays are mixtures of all of the above plus quartz, feldspar, mica and other minerals. There are also many clays that have high plasticity like bentonite but are much different mineralogically.
