This is a lithium concentrate, not a commercial product. Talison Lithium primarily produces hard-rock lithium mineral concentrates (spodumene) at its Greenbushes mine in Western Australia. The company extracts and processes raw ore into two main categories of lithium concentrate and sells them directly to customers rather than producing refined lithium chemicals itself.
Technical-Grade Lithium Concentrates Features: Low iron content.Uses: Manufacture of ceramics, specialty glass, and heat-proof cookware.
Chemical-Grade Lithium Concentrates Features: High-yielding lithium mineral concentrate.Uses: Processed further into lithium chemicals (such as lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate) to power lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles, laptops, and mobile phones, as well as large energy grid storage systems.
