Sodium Phosphate

DEFLOCCULANT

Na2HPO4 12H20
A highly effective deflocculant for thin glaze and enamel slips. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate (Na2P2O7) is a similar material. Sodium hexametaphosphate is commonly available under the trade name Calgon. It is a water soluble sodium phosphate glass and is used in glaze, slips, as a deflocculant, and as a dispersing agent in industrial ceramic materials testing and processing.
