Sandy White is a naturally occurring blend of high quality silica (49%), Kaolin (42%), and feldspar(5%). It is used as a filler in clay bodies to increase both strength and workability.

The following shrinkage and porosity numbers from the supplier are implausible. The chemistry is also suspect since it only totals 93.

Sieve analysis: 0% on 80 mesh, 10% on 200 mesh
Drying shrinkage: 1.75%
Fired shrinkage: Cone 05 - 2%, cone 2%, cone 5 - 2%, cone 10 - 2%
Porosity: Cone 05 - 18.1%, cone 1 - 12.3%, cone 5 - 13.3%, cone 10 - 1.6%
