Thermal Conductivity


Often the insulating properties of ceramics are important so one needs to choose one of low thermal conductivity.

Kyocera, for example, lists a range of thermal conductivity products. The highest is silicon carbide. Moving downward from there, materials that the ceramic industry can usually access: alumina, mullite, cordierite, zirconia and steatite.
