Pig Skining

Pig skinning describes a glaze fault that appears as a pattern of wrinkles on the surface of a glaze. It happens when the surface of a glaze is altered by either evaporation of fluxes or by exposure to compounds during the firing that make the surface of the glaze more viscose than the interior. The glaze surface wrinkles as the molten glaze underneath flows.
