THIVIERS CLAY

Also known as “Thiviers stoneware”, a versatile iron rich earth of long firing range, from 900-1180ºC, amenable to earthenware or stoneware compositions; and particularly good in red glaze recipes to be used in place of iron oxides where they are called for. For many, Thiviers is a member of the class of pipe clays, though it is rarely seen labeled as ‘Thiviers pipe clay’. Alone, not blended with other clays, it is normally used for casting rather than throwing.

- Import the pictures and pair them to their corresponding records automatically.
- One click to automatically export the database to an SQLite DB database file and download it (for use with desktop INSIGHT or just as a backup).
- Export and import individual glaze recipes as text or XML.
