IXL RBD-95Buff Burning Stoneware
RBD is a multi-layer blend of stoneware clay materials mined in an IXL quarry about 3 km west of Ravenscrag, Sask. The components range from very plastic buff burning stonewares to a white burning ball clay to a silty medium temperature stoneware. It's plasticity is similar to a normal throwing or handbuilding clay body. It has a slight toothy texture which can be detected on the potter's wheel. Because it is a quarry blend, the proportions of the component materials can vary. Out Bound Links
